All good things... Not many 'Dad's Army' veterans left now. We used to go to the same church: it was odd to see him in the congregation rather than at the altar. R.I.P.
When we children saw him as the put-upon lisping vicar in those old b&w comedies such as "I'm All Right Jack", we would never have realised he was only in his late 20s. Eventually his face caught up with his actual age!
