    Through The Night - "Newcastle"

No, not that one, beloved of boardees...

...a hip and happenin' overnight extravaganza for the new generation of Radio 3 listeners. All your favourite presenters are there: Elizabeth Alker, Hannah Peel, Sara Mohr-Pietsch, Jennifer Lucy Allan, Ian McMillan and Matthew Sweet.

Shame that the metropolitan press bill the fest as being in Newcastle - it is partly, but the predominant component is in Gateshead - the party city's cultural cousin across the Tyne.

      A very Sage comment, OG.

Yes, having both worked and lived (well within the Metropolitan Borough, at least) in the past in Gateshead, I have a certain affinity for the place - and the Sage is a fantastic asset to the Town, thanks to the prescience of the Council in the early days.
