Now there was a brilliantly funny man - his spontaneity in ‘I’m sorry I haven’t a clue’ and elsewhere was marvellous and over the years his scripts helped comedians to become great.

Sad news. Impressive how active he remained, right into his later years. I had the pleasure of being his accompaniest once, many years ago, at a charity caberet in Bath. Sadly missed but surely will never be forgotten. RIP Barry.Comment

He will be much missed and ISIHAC isn't the same without him (nor without Tim and Graeme for that matter). There are couple of editions of "The Good Old Days" from the 1970s on YouTube with Barry doing a solo routine.
One of my favourite Cryer jokes: "The world Hokey Cokey champion died last week. It took 3 days to get him into the coffin."
