I've avoided Facebook, Twitter and the rest, preferring just to use my computer and iPhone for fairly basic applications. I suppose I feel that the availability of new technology does not mean that we have to sign up to everything. It reminds me of the people you sometimes see on holiday with their eyes permanently glued to a viewfinder who lose their ability to observe the world. By the same token the Internet is not the world.

Hopefully someone will answer although I am a bit disappointed with the R3 page (lack of comment, lack of discussion) However, catavina (yes, it is she with a new name) suggested all the moaners about Breakfast clear off and go to the discussion page (which is totally dormant!)
The American singer in question apparently facebooked all her fans, hence the influx of gush. She plays the Albert Hall tonight.
I have seen a few of cavatina's posts under her new name - I suppose it could be her real name. The more of them I read, the more I convinced I become that she is an agent provocateuse for Roger Wright!

Failing that, it may be a case of your security settings being too high: you could try adding Facebook to your trusted sites, and relax the security.
As I have said elsewhere, we need more of us to take the good fight to the forces of darkness - er, sorry, I mean Cavatina and Rog!

So one is faced with the absurduty of commenting negatively about something while "liking" it at the same time!

Amazing how little control the BBC seems to exert over the monitoring of its Facebook page. Not only are there regular outbursts of spam which go unremoved for long periods, but "contributors" hurl abuse at each other in terms which would make a squaddie blush. However, the BBC, no doubt in the spirit of freedom of speech, for which it is famous, lets it all go. Not a very edifying spectacls.
