Why not wait for the result of the official enquiry? And perhaps if the police had been able to use tasers in the recent rioting, at least some of the death, looting and damage might have been prevented.
Well, I do not claim to have been present either as the taser incidents or any of the riots, but then if you were also absent from both I find it hard to understand why or how you could arrive at your conclusion that "if the police had been able to use tasers in the recent rioting, at least some of the death, looting and damage might have been prevented"; to begin with, if the police were "able" (whether that term indicates mere capability alone or legitimacy) to use tasers in the incidents where they did use them, who's to say whether or not they could have used them (irrespective of which of those two uses of the term that we're considering here) in the recent riots? Do you know?
