    It would. But if people only 'experience' events and never bother to wonder why they have happened, they may experience the same thing over and over again. Dewey's point was about the process of learning, which I think was the context.

    My point was that if people find the same thing happening to them again and again, they might benefit by reflecting on why this is.
    It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
