    Economics of Cinemas

    This Wired article is interesting - and suggests - perhaps somewhat surprisingly - that there is a real demand for cinemas - https://www.wired.co.uk/article/jame...to-die-netflix
    This is shown by the profitability of film production companies, compared with the sales of streaming companies.

    OK - it's big business talk - but whatever one thinks about this, the data does seem to suggest that there won't be funds to make future films unless cinemas reopen.

    To be precise, there won't be funds to make expensive blockbusters that treat audiences like idiots.
