                        However he will only hang on to it until the Queen’s death when it will be passed on to Prince Edward.

                              ....top trump that one....(I've been fairly well behaved myself - only one 'bound over to keep the peace' 1987)....<and of course the state of my trousers - shoddy. It is they [the trousers] that should get the long service accolade>....

                                For those interested this is Peter Sisson’s eyewitness account of the events following the last major Royal demise. The final paragraph does tend to back up the “it’s all over the top” brigade.
