just think what will happen when the Mrs follows him - North Korea eat your heart out.
However I think he had his head screwed on and could see much of the stupidity of the upper class running the monarchy as well as the class incompetence in the upper reaches of British industry in the late 50s onwards - catch he could do little other than preach change.

And I can guarantee that tonight's 'Look East' will kick off with something along the lines of 'Tonight, we look at how the death of Prince Philip is going to affect OUR region'
Non-Royal news: My new slippers, which I ordered yesterday and were supposed to be delivered in 3 to 5 days, arrived this lunchtime. I shall never forget where I was and what I was doing when they arrived.

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Will people say the same of Nick Witchell, I wonder?

Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square."

I don't think the BBC can give the government and their "_...._ Research Group" / UKIP'y wing any excuse to pick up a stick to beat them. Not as the BBC could well be fighting for its survival (Charter renewal/funding model etc) - as we well know.
The Duke never seemed to revel in fuss and nonsense so perhaps he had just had enough, and thought - small funeral, I've had enough ***dy birthdays, Harry and that Missus of his might have to stay stateside.....time to give up the struggle.......
I can arrange my own listening material for 24 hours and as for TV, well we have the streaming option.Last edited by Cockney Sparrow; 09-04-21, 13:50.
