Lovely vid..... me at night but with one big fluffy 10-year-old Cat rather than lots of little ones....stroke, cuddle, squirm, purr, settle.... best insomnia cure ever there was...

(My stray-adopt lives in-and-out of the kitchen/snug....hey, a two-room apartment isn't bad....outside, the Cat that Walks by Himself, and is Himself......)...

Our cats would like to sleep with me, but one settles by my head and purrs so loudly I can't sleep, and her brother either stretches out his paws or sleeps on top of me, which given he's a substantial and strong cat isn't much better.

Have you tried putting a favourite rug or old jumper on the bed, further down by your side, one they like to pump their paws on?
If you'd like a Cat on the bed, that might be a way to fit everyone in....though it is more challenging with two... you might need a double-bed for that....

Ours would sleep on the bed if given half a chance - they are always on duty outside the bedroom door every morning awaiting us. They compensate by sleeping on the bed after breakfast but for some reason seldom bother in the afternoon, perhaps because of the allure of the chairs near the newly lit wood stove.

I think we'd need a bigger bed, particularly as big boy likes to sleep right in the middle of it. The other problem is that their idea of preferred breakfast time is rather earlier than ours (and we can't just leave food out as one of them seems to have no appetite control and we're struggling to keep her weight down as it is) so leaving them downstairs is the best option.

It isn't easy to reason with a Cat....

My own fluffy monster ( a sort of Shetland Pony in feline form) would like to settle centrally, but I can usually manipulate her gently to the more easily accommodated and sleep-inducing right side...

No. I've been trying to get him to appreciate Bruckner, but he just runs out of the room.
