      I’m 99 percent sure that it was specially composed . But was it Burgon or the producer who thought that the Nunc Dimmitis would work so well at the end of a spy thriller? That is genius of a sort . It seems so implausible but even the words work .Smiley (the servant ] isn’t allowed to retire or depart in peace . He’s pulled out of it to very reluctantly sort out a mess ...
