It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I thought it was tomorrow night? Would there be any problem if someone else wanted to start a similar thread?

For ff, on your question about starting a similar thread: IMHO, I really wouldn't suggest that anyone start such a new thread now. This theme is very much a holiday/Xmas tradition, and I think should stay in that time frame. Plus, traffic has really dropped off in the past few weeks, as it tends to do after Christmas. It would be best to keep it a Christmas-timed tradition.

With two yeas, I will take that as the sentiment of the forum, though I still query whether, having announced it will finish "at Candlemas", it should be closed tonight at midnight or tomorrow. I am quite happy to close it when I go to bed tonight
