            Always check your Wikipedia BBM - so , yes, unless you mean to limit classical to 1740-1801 (or whateve dates you choose.).

            It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

                  Yes indeed. I know the composer and saw the opera at Bielefeld. It is influenced by rock music, but I think you might be on slippery ground if any classical work influenced by and/or quoting popular music is to be declared null and void.
