The man who eventually managed to sing on the Morecambe and Wise show has died. Though I guess not many out and out fans of his on the forum he was a comedian who rarely caused offence and was a good TV show host. As a singer - his chart hits in the late 60s did nothing for me - there was so much other folk and prog rock and everything to occupy my musical mind - but he had a good voice and could deliver a standard well if not in the class of Bennett, Sinatra, Monro or Cole. RIP Des.
