I really hope 'excellent' returns with those pithy one-liners, but I wonder if he/she feels the point has been lost now the direct line to the BBC has been severed?

Other posters who would be a loss are 'Stevo', for those penetrating critiques, and 'forestchav', for such encylopedic knowledge of Bach and Historically Informed Performance Practice.

I signed in for the other site but haven't posted yet and don't know if the missing S-A is there. Actually quite a lot of my favourite posters haven't turned up yet. Ihope they do. Very large disaster in the Phillipines - and we may have friends there (pabmusic?). I'd try a PM, but my mail box needs attention, and other things may have higher priority. The problems due to the typhoon are very considerable, and the loss of life deplorable. Neverthless, it'd be good to know that posters here aren't affected directly.
