Re. #44: The Times lists Sky Arts programmes for peak hours only. Most of the programmes which I list are broadcast off-peak.

On my Sony Android Smart TV, I scrolled through the 7 day forward listings, Apart from the music related programmes (classical orientated) highlighted above there are programmes of interest to me on visual arts, architecture etc. Shame my Panasonic DVD recorder has a defunct Guide plus schedule facility and is Scart connected so doesn't integrate with the Sony.

We don't watch that much TV and not all of it music related so this, together with the scraps from BBC4 will provide a steady stream of programmes to watch - once I organise a recorder (with a facility to generate a generic file (or burn a DVD like the previous unit)) to provide the time shift from the early/unsocial hours of the broadcasts.

I had a Panasonic HD recorder which became useless as a result of incompatability around change of television set - replaced it with a Humax which has to date behaved very well. Yes the IT age gives us more, but why is none of it straightforward?

Thank you for pointing out the absence of the Anastasia, which slipped through the net. I've added it to #45, which does mention Gershwin. Please see #21 which explains the modest aims and limited scope of this service.
I'm afraid Yuja Wang absolutely ruined 'Rhapsody In Blue' for me at last year's free VPO concert from Vienna, since when I've given her a very wide berth.

Better to splash out on the DVD + Blu-ray. The audio (48/24 LPCM stereo) is a considerable improvement on what Sky has on offer.
