Getting to the point of the year where it is more difficult to find benign weather for outside exercise. Looks like a morning jog dodging the showers tomorrow.

Got a twinge in my plantar, so need to take it a bit easy.

It's made even more difficult round my way by the fact that the schoolkids come out at 3pm and with five schools along my usual walking route plus the consequent traffic build up it's best to get out before. Afterwards is no good as it's now getting increasingly dark. I tend to go for my walk no matter what the weather unless it's beyond vile (like today) and all I could manage today was a quick scurry down to the shops in the very brief window of opportunity between the hefty showers.

As I am currently suffering from (and have been for the best part of a year) what is known as an Impinged Shoulder (and all the unintended consequences up to and including insomnia because it hurts so bloody much), I've finally been prescribed some exercises by a physio. As a result, the pain, which had seemed to be subsiding, has been 10 times worse.
            Best regards,
            Jonathan

Why DO kids get out of school so early ?

Anyway, good point, during the months of short daylight hours, esp when it is cold, I tend to try to get out in the middle of the day when it is least cold.
Don’t mind running in the cold, but heavy rain is horrible.

Missed this morning's parkrun, as the there's a 10k trail run in Dalby Forest tomorrow, with the title "Defy Dalby", one of four alliterative runs in different forests during the year (Smash Sherwood, etc.). I'm looking forward to it, but it all depends on the weather.

10 K trail run for me tomorrow too, based at Salisbury racecourse . Looking very warm for the time of year. Should be nice and dry under foot. Looking forward to it
                  Enjoy your run, EA.

Yes thanks, about par for me !! Stunning weather , lovely scenery in the Chalke Valley, just about perfect really. Trail runs approx 10 K ( this was 11k) are certainly my favourite kind of running.
                      hope yours went well.
