Sustainable coronavirus free living? Isolation effects over many years.

This seems like a very odd way to avoid the rest of the world - https://edition.cnn.com/2020/07/19/u...rnd/index.html

There are more architecturally satisfying examples of floating homes to be found in Holland.

Nevertheless, this sort of initiative could herald the long-awaited sustainable future, combining new technology with low consumption and a degree of autonomy suggestive of the kind of privacy one would wish to see inbuilt into any more collective approaches to living. I'm all for it. There was a report in one of my unsolicited article pop-ups plausibly predicting the majority of food production being carried out underground in the near future. None of these things would have been available to past incliners towards living self-sufficiently off the land - the usual charge of hankering after a non-existent Golden Age of harmony with the processes of Nature, The Universe, etc etc.

Unintentionally, no doubt, the lovely word Sustatainable in this thread title conjures up a fine balance between sustainable and attainable, which might be quite pertinent.

Oops. Shall we leave it then, or ask for it to be "corrected"?
