    Bailouts ....

I just spotted this, which I know that some round here will completely disapprove of.

The deal will utilise a new court-sanctioned restructuring process to secure Virgin Atlantic’s future, Sky News understands.

A bailout for Virgin Atlantic vs helping free lance musicians and others who haven't any funds left!

It's not clear whether there's a substantial input from Richard Branson, who has managed to "offshore" his activities over the last few years. Perhaps keeping the business going and helping its employees is a good thing, but I thought the UK government was absolutely resisting bailouts for companies based elsewhere.

It may be OK - and the best deal which is possible at the moment, but .......

The devil will perhaps be in the details.

That would be the public face, but such statements are always open to 'revision' behind the scenes.

Hard to believe Branson's financially in a pickle.

          It's a private bailout,not a public (government) one.

It's difficult to work out which organisations are bailing the others out. Sorry if I reacted too quickly - but it makes sense to keep an eye on these things, surely. I'm not quite sure anyway, what a "private" bailout is - does that mean banks etc., until they also run into problems, and then seek a government bailout? As I wrote earlier - devil+details.
