Try hitting "help" on the homepage and taking your options from there..... (phone/live chat).... email can be better but though listed its hard to find on the site now...

Its best if you go into/through your own orders to specify which you have a problem with.

As Bryn said, they're usually very quick to resolve/refund when this happens.... rarely, thankfully.......

      Thanks Jayne.

I assured the seller again that the item had not been delivered, and this time they appeared to listen.

So we'll see. Any more problems and I'll take it to amazon itself.

It's very odd. This thread started the day that my girlfriend ordered some watch batteries from Amazon for our kitchen timer. Two days later, a huge parcel arrived with 2 sets of huge batteries!

I also read teamsaint's post and made a mental note of both Hive and A Great Read. Yesterday, I decided to order a CD (volume 3 of Mark Viner's Alkan recordings) and Hive were cheaper than anyone else! So many thanks for this thread.
        Best regards,
        Jonathan

One book arrived damaged - but it was quite expensive - over £20 - so I sent it back.
Another has now not arrived on two occasions. The first time I received a notification "handed to resident", while today I was informed "pushed through letterbox". Imaginary products I think. This is appalling - and badly thought out.

I find it a real concern that the Amazon tracking response does not actually have a tick box to say "Not actually << fill in your **** words>> delivered".

I suppose I'll have to track down the telephone number which Amazon seem to keep very well hidden.

Maybe a letter to Jeff Bezos is called for.
I think Jeff Bezos won't help you But you can always contact amazon customer service number. I recently applied there myself.

Well it wasn't me: I don't have your address!

This happened to me once. Amazon were not able to tell me who it was from (data protection, ha ha!), but the person did let slip the gender of the sender, probably inadvertently, by saying something like: 'Well, it seems like you have a female admirer!'.
Can't remember what it was now, but I never found out who had sent it, despite a few enquiring phone calls to my admirers.

Just spotted this. Good news !!

There are so many good ways to buy books from more ethical outfits than amazon. Many offer excellent discounts, and some support local businesses, including the new kid in the block, Bookshop.org.

Despite our best efforts at work, or perhaps because of them, Amazon( and even more so if you include Book Depository) massively outsell all the other online channels combined, but it is in all of our interests to support non amazon businesses where we sensibly can.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

Two favourite independent recording labels are Somm and Hyperion and whether CD or download I always order directly from their site.
