I thought it might be fun to have a thread devoted to anagrams, so, if I may, I offer as a starter:
Emily Maitlis: I Email Sly Tim.

For the pianist Marc-André Hamelin (ignoring the acute accent) there are several of which the only one that I can currently call to mind is

        LEND ME AN ARMCHAIR

Eleven plus two = twelve plus one.

If you do cryptic crosswords you deal with anagrams on a daily basis. I take great pleasure in them but two days later they're forgotten. A nice clue frrom yesterday's Guardian:
          Rose petal arrangement.

If you fancy escaping lockdown in London and driving to that little holiday retreat on the edge of Dartmoor with your wife-to-be and young child, it's no more than 200 miles from DOWNING STREET to DREWSTEIGNTON.

Virginia Bottomley = I'm an evil Tory bigot
              or even

              "I am violent bigotry"

              (just remembered this one)

Conservative MP Anne Widdecombe = Even-minded, manic, verbose cow-pat

Here’s a few I’ve read about over the years

                William Shakespeare - I am a weak-ish speller

Clint Eastwood - Old West action

Gilbert and Sullivan - Unrivalled blasting

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber - .... are two lewd, incredibly drab men

I wonder if the present pandemic only affects meat eaters. An anagram of Coronavirus is ‘carnivorous.’

Dunno 'bout the even-minded bit, GG, and could have done with an extra 'a' in manic, speaking personally!

                        One would wish so.
