National Youth Orchestra - Beethoven 9

This could go in several threads or parts of this forum. Probably best on Platform 3.

I'm not sure how well this would go in some parts of the UK, since the "tune" may be more identified with the EU ( in principle) than with Beethoven.

Well - that’s a bit like saying “You’ll Never Walk Alone” is by Gerry and the Pacemakers.

Ive only got the Lizst piano arrangement of Ode to Joy from his complete piano transcriptions of the symphonies . The unison first statement of the theme is a piece of the proverbial . But Liszt's cunning arrangement of Beethoven's absolutely lovely first string harmonisation complete with the bassoon decoration ( the greatest bassoon bit in the symphonic rep ? ) is a real mare to get your fingers round ! !
