Actually, as at yesterday I have a semi-functioning kitchen, water/sink and new induction hob (). No heating but no more cooking out on the utility room floor. Two doors won't close properly and have to be adjusted - tomorrow allegedly. The worst aspect is that having crafted one's kitchen exactly how you want it, you now have a different, very up to date kitchen which in a number of respects doesn't work in the same efficient way. But I had my first stovetop coffee heated on the induction hob adapter (pot doesn't work on induction hobs). It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

For some reason stove coffeepots seem always to have been aluminium(or sometimes enamel) , so won't work on induction hobs, but I see that manufacturers now make suitable versions, either stainless steel or with an adapted base.

Perhaps you can share a picture? Induction hobs are new to me...
BTW 3-unwind is always there to destress / distress.

I'm surprised that some of them have (presumably) passed Health and Safety requirements in terms of signage and escape routes in the event of evacuation being needed.

It's one of the things I appreciate - just enough information to have an idea what's happening, leaving me the option to follow up for myself elsewhere if I choose.

Just received confirmation from TV Licensing that they have accepted my statutory declaration that I don't need a television licence. I've been living at the same address for just going into my 30th year declaring that I have no TV and have been visited twice by amiable inspectors doing their duty. Of course they have to check, not whether I am telling the truth or not, but whether perhaps I am mistaken in my interpretation of the lawIt isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal.
