Just googling and in fact the time you quoted was for the USA - in UK it was 0349 on September 20th!

A letter in The Times today lists reasons to be cheerful, including the fact that the clocks are going back later this month.

Good. Something else to do while self-isolated: change all the clocks of whatever kind. Never a dull moment.

... the grass is, er, rizzing.

Edit: The spring equinox 2020 occurred on Friday 20 March at 03.49am GMT.
Thanks Cloughie. I've corrected the original post.

You and I had better not do any coast path walking in Cornwall.....

Amid all the stories of human selfishness and recklessness, there is another side to human nature. My slouching, morose, dreadlocked nephew has found a new role for himself, has given up his job and is leafleting and setting up local Facebook and WhatsApp groups to organise volunteers to help people in less advantaged areas - no partying for him. But he has his own reward: he says he's quickly found out more about his neighbours than ever before:

The coronavirus outbreak has left many feeling trapped indoors, but for some help may not be far away.

Should we set some back, as the letter suggested, and others forward? (This could make life very complicated for any essential workers who commute between Portugal and Spain or vice versa).

Let's hope that with less human interference in the coming months they'll do even better.

Cheer up with The Now Show.

Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis are 'at home' as they present the week, with jokes.

Considering it was probably written in haste and delivered from the presenters' homes, it made a pretty good job of bringing a smile...and the occasional titter.

Not a news story, but it's always nice when while out on a walk you encounter someone and you move as far away from them as you can and they thank you for it.
