Like Cornwall - they didn't realise they were among the main beneficiaries of EU regional funding. They'll have to wait and see whether the government compensates them with a similar amount. Along with the compensation for all the other regions, projects, organisations and industries that similarly benefited.

The government has yet to give any explanation of where the money is coming from for all its promised expenditure. Presumably Merlin Dom has created some sort of money tree.

Hmm. I thought I was only going to one BBC concert recording but it turns out the Cafe OTO gig is also being recorded by the Beeb for future broadcast on The New Music Show. As the deadly hour of 23:00 pproaches, Mr. Crane's new piece, European Towns will receive its premiere.

Was Beef Oven yet a member, he would, I feel sure, be mortified to learn that Julie Fraser was wearing a decidedly pro-EU Laibach T-shirt, replete with EU circle of stars with Brussels Expo 1958 Atomium in the centre for the first piece, Sergei Zagny's "Studies on Rhythm BACH".

She returned, similarly attired for John Lely's "Stopping at the Sheer Edge Will Never Abolish Space"

.... and a truly painful contrast with the following outstanding performance of K482 by the estimable Mr Levitt and the BRSO.

That was a wonderful performance wasn’t it ? I was only half listening (cooking) but it’s good hear someone varying their touch in Mozart rather than constant jeu perlé.

I saw that t-shirt in TKMax (am I allowed to name that firm, with this forum being a branch of The BBC?) for £49.99 (god knows what the full retail price is) and was about to buy it when, in the queue, I saw it was 'do not tumble-dry' and had to put it back because I haven't got a garden. Shame, it would have gone well with my "Rock Against The New 50p" badge I've got on my duffle coat.

In what has effectively become a cashless society, has anyone yet had the misfortune to have been confronted by a Brexit 50p coin?

No, not me, but I pay for everything by card anyway.

I've never checked! Perhaps we'll get the chance to purchase - or have posted to us - commemorative Coronavirus Medals.
