I think there's good call for a new corner of the Platform 3 waiting room - the clinic!

I use bed socks when it’s really cold. Since my cancer treatment my body thermostat has been most irregular.

Have you had a diagnosis for this yet, Stfdn? The Macmillan Cancer Support website has some useful information about Peripheral Neuropathy.

Peripheral neuropathy is damage to the nerves connecting the brain, spinal cord and the rest of the body. It can be caused by cancer or its treatment.

Definitely not something to ignore, whatever you've got. Any kind of foot problem can increase the likelihood of a fall, for example. There are things you can do about that, too, of course. Hope you enjoy the match tomorrow, but watch your step, that's all.
Thank you, I'll check out those heated cushioning items from 'The Heat Company' on Amazon.

                - I'm reluctant to start a "Clinic" Sub-Forum, if only on the "don't get me started" principle!

Plenty of room for improvisation there.

I'm at the football match at AFC Fylde tomorrow (FA Trophy, second round). I choose to stand as I can move around whereas I find I get much colder when I'm seated.
I don’t wish to be pessimistic, and hopefully I will be wrong, but in my experience Chemotherapy related Peripheral Neuropathy isn’t that responsive to whatever coverings are used for the extremities. I would caution you against something that is externally heated as if it burns you you may not realize initially that you are suffering tissue damage due to your decreased perception. Just wear warm clothes and I would avoid any unnecessary cold exposure. In my experience the Neuropathy can greatly improve after the Therapy is concluded although it takes some time
