But you liked the MPs when they took control of parliament and became the de facto executive and went against the people. Now you want to drop them and focus on the people!! Make yer mind up!

I think I'll leave this alone. I respect everyone's entitled to their opinions and mine appear to be in the minority here, so best left.

This is useful. From Channel 4's Factcheck team:

Yes, useful in knowing that the government 'doesn't want its hands tied [to remaining in Erasmus]' and that it is going to use students' opportunities as part of the Trump-style deal-making that is obviously going to emerge. Example: Us. "We won't pay to belong to Erasmus if you put a tax on our Scotch Whisky". EU. "We'll put a tax on your Scotch Whisky if you put a tax on our VWs/Citroens", etc, etc. Students a bargaining chip????

But it isn't democracy! A whole Nation's wishes are being ignored. How is that democracy?

Fear not. I'm sure Erasmus is one of the many automatic advantages of EU membership that the UK will be attempting to negotiate on the grounds that it benefits the EU, educationally, as much as it does the UK. National security will be another:
