We bought a Fuchsia Boliviana last year never expecting it to survive Winter but lo and behold.

Sunshine and sitting on a bench in the garden. Oh look, here's a beer!
      Best regards,

I've just managed to salve a cassette, on which there was the second two-thirds of a recording of Messiaen's Le Livre du Saint Sacrément, but a rare film suite of music by Silvestre Revueltas from 1935, titled "Redes". Revueltas was way ahead of other film composers on the evidence of this. The tape had come adrift at one end, and this took several attempts before I thought to roughen the plastic a bit to give the Locktite some purchase with the tape end.

Oh and I've just "liberated" a blue bottle that had flown in through one of my open windows!

How about little Jim? Has he fallen in the water again?

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I remember the whole crowd: Grytpype-Thynne, Bloodnok, spotty Minnie Bannister, Neddie Seagoon (spellings not guaranteed), Eccles and the child Bluebottle (it sounded like Blunebottle). Also Max Geldray on the harmonica halfway through.

And, of course, Angela Morley (Wally Stott).
