It has an excellent reputation and the Head, whom I know slightly, is of great experience and is generally considered to be efficient and competent - and a very nice chap into the bargain.
How sad, then, that he's been stupid enough to "fall" for a "bribe". Alomg with, I suppose, all his governing body.
I must ring the school and tell him to visit us on here and ask for an elaboration of Eine Alpensingfonie's wise advice, drawn, I'm sure, from vast experience and wide knowledge...
Of course, we are veering off-topic, as was David Cameron when he made the "plug" on a cricket programme.

I would agree with your "suggested course of action", but becoming an academy is irreversable, so you'd be wasting your time.

They are 536 for 5. My neighbour has just said when Bell is out they should declare and make it more of a match?

when Bell is out they should declare
i hope no hostage to fortune by this but the way he is playing that could be the back end of next week ..... they might also want Bopara to play himself in and see what he can do .... the weather makes a draw a very likely outcome ...and if Tendulkar can play it out getting his ton so much the better ... [unless the England attack starts skittling wickets of course]
wouldn't you just know it Bell is lbw three minutes after this was posted!According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

I posted that about Bell and declaring before venturing forth into the murk and drizzle here ..... on returning I saw no play before tea so decided to watch Wales v Argentina ...... Well, Duw, Duw!! What a finish to the first half, from being 0-3, scrappy match, visitors dominant, Wales, in the last two minutes, turned it around to finish 14-3 !! Fingers crossed for second half
Edit: I won't reveal the final score except to say it was tidy!

I do hope we aren't going to get like those uncouth Australians boasting and crowing about winning....it's a sad sad day for Indian cricket, but I hope we at least keep this winning streak in proportion....
