I wasn't disagreeing with the article at all. The Home Office link was there to highlight the disconnect between what it says it's about and doing, and what the article and so many others like it say is actually happening.

I guess Boris will give HIM one (an honour that is).

What else is there left to give a man who has a castle and an expensive home in Islington with a "tapestry room"?

Maybe Boris is a bit occupied elsewhere.....

The Prime Minister claimed the UK is ready to "start a new chapter" - while he enjoys a lavish Caribbean getaway with girlfriend Carrie Symonds

If your wish is granted, any footage will doubtless very quickly go viral.

I feel that Britain's American poodles' halfhearted response to Trump's attempts to precipitate WW3 from Iraq and Iran will hasten a mutually satisfactory outcome to this matter of a post-Brexit EU trading deal. I could of course be wrong, given that we're dealing with stubbornly inflexible people on all sides here.

Why all the lefty support for an anti-democratic, homophobic, misogynist, theocratic/fascist regime in Iran and their terrorist agents ?

What's the problem with criticising Trump's action and deploring the Iranian regime; the two are not mutually exclusive views.

                            - as the final comment about "stubbornly inflexible people on all sides" in S_A's comment had made clear, I thought.

Clearly Trump did the right thing in ridding the world of another islamic terrorist.

Not sure what this has to do with 'fun and games with ballot papers' .............

.......... but I don't agree that Qasem Soleimani was a terrorist, any more than say Bush or Blair were. But he was key in extending Iran's religious revolution and its perfidious credo to its Middle East neighbours, and for that reason, I too am glad he's gone.
