I think that might make you (and me) an "extremist" ooooooooer

The problem with "not respecting the result of the referendum", IMO, is that, whether some aspects were dubious or not, ( and some certainly were, as in every modern democratic event) an awful lot of genuine people , and not just leavers, think that it was done , and that they voted, in good faith. And that needs dealing with very carefully .I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

There was a vote
it was very close
there were some dubious practices
If it was a jury in a court of law it would be deemed to be indecisive
If it was a sporting event it would probably have the same result
The Labour party painted itself into a corner and has risked the lives of those it claims to care most about by saying it "respects the result"
It's not a result that is worthy of respect.

I don’t see what the problem with handling this issue with a degree of nuance is. The democratic deficit ( or whatever) will not be corrected by taking decisions that vast numbers of people will interpret as not having their votes respected.
If a party standing on a revoke ticket won a mjority, then they would be entitled to implement that policy.
The Labour party would have been toast some time ago if it had gone full out remain/ revoke. A Labour led government is pretty much still the only hope remainers have, slim though that hope is.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

But it will have to do
Don't get me wrong I want the end of the current bunch of d*ckheads as much as you do
BUT i'm not keen on popularism and a second vote (which is the only chance we have of avoiding the disaster of Brexit) will simply reinforce the idea that the role of MPs is to do the will of those who vote for them. What ever happened to "representatives" ?
Labour's fudging (which is how it is seen regardless of what their supporter say) on the issue risks more misery at the hands of the Tories
(don't ask me anyway as i've already done the deed... for what it's worth........got a very sore nose )

The silly manifesto seemed the last straw until one found another in their bonkers statement that they would convert Chequers into a home for the homeless. This was the kind of absurd statement that Evo Morales, the socialist president of Bolivia, made before his election. Last month The Guardian reported that he had to be airlifted out of the country as it disintegrates into chaos. The majority of homelessness, incidentally, could be solved relatively easily, and a real Labour party would have been able to do this. One bears no ill will to Mr Corbyn's supporters - many of them mean well, but they are profoundly misguided and one must hope that after Friday they will take time to reflect that their enemies are not Tony Blair, core old-fashioned Labour supporters (such as the Kemps), the BBC and poor Laura Kuensberg but the elite who have installed themselves at the top of the party and have used their diabolical skills to shore up support with the momentum membership.

Vote tory, get even more inequality, worse public services, and a government with no values whatsoever aside from financial greed.
Nothing tactical about it.
( Oh and i suppose you get guaranteed Brexit too, if that’s your thing).I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
