The 1969 cult classic, which Fonda also co-wrote and produced, earned him an Oscar nomination.
I found it interesting to hear the news reader at 9.00am pronounce the film title as Easy rider and not Easy-Rider. She’s probably never heard of the film.

RIP Peter Fonda
I have to admit that though I have heard of the film, I have never seen it. Indeed. I only really knew of Peter Fonda as a son of Henry and brother of Jane. Commiserations to his friends and family.
Indeed and the soundtrack to Easy Rider must rank, if not your choice for one of the best ever, then surely representative of the epoch. I think I would have to include at least one track in any 1969 moonlanding commemoration concert programme Along with The Doors' Moonlight Drive, probably ...
It was surprising and mildly sad to see him appearing in a Thomas The Tank Engine movie which our grandchildren watch endlessly ..... although he did wear a leather jacket ....... Alec Baldwin also appears ....... !!!!!
I've seen Easy Rider three times in the cinema...once when it first came out...it was the first X I ever got into underage, I seem to recall, and loved it. In my late twenties I went to see it again and couldn't understand why I had once loved it so much. I watch it in my 50s and fell in love with it again. Fonda was such a classic character in the film and he, Dennis Hopper, Jack Nicholson, and of course the wonderful Karen Black made this a pivotal film for me. Always loved the Electric Prunes 'Kyrie Eleison' from the soundtrack.
So many later refs and echoes, most interesting ending-to-ending homage in Electra Glide in Blue...(1973)... (with another great soundtrack - from Chicago)

Not sure what the pronunciation difference is, unless capital letter denotes an emphasis.
