Well, no one is forcing anyone to actually go to said musical. I don't particularly like football or wrestling but I've no objection to anyone who likes these activities going to see them. Horses for courses...

                Not really
McCartney is guilty of crimes against music
All that "hey man I don't want to ruin my creativity by learning to read notation" bullshit encourages wilful ignorance

It's not really a question of "liking" but the pernicious effect this idiot has on young people that is so damaging

It's a shame that The Beatles are dying in reverse order of talent.......

In your not very humble opinion but really PMcC has over a lifetime, with a few more years to come yet, has brought more joy than angst to the music listening public, and just because you don’t like him and his musical output, please remember that DIFFERENT PEOPLE LIKE DIFFERENT THINGS - GET OVER IT - but I have a strong feeling that you don’t deep down think that - that may be YOUR problem!

I agree with MrGG about PMcC’s ridiculous use of his lack of musical literacy as a badge of honour. It isn’t. It’s just laziness.

Do you honestly think he has a lack of musical literacy - really - I think he has some but lacks a classical music education overall and has insecurities - are you perhaps being too hard on him any others who have music in their soul but not in musical education?

                        Sorry chum
I'm quite happy for anyone to like his work
                        BUT

he persists in encouraging the myth that somehow learning more about how other musicians work will somehow damage his creativity
which is total bullshit and has had a very damaging effect on musical culture in the UK

for that (and the Frog Song ) he isn't the benign comedy scouser that he pretends to be

He has consistently spoken about how he doesn't read or understand notation
                          BUT
EVERYTHING he has ever done has had people reading alongside him

Notation isn't necessary for many musics BUT Macca has ALWAYS had people much more competent than him smoothing his path
                          Lazy and ignorant

any rich fool can employ someone talented in orchestration to make your noodlings sound reasonable

you might be taking me too seriously

But he still is an arse

Did you actually READ what I (and Alpie) wrote ?

Or are you so in thrall to ignore anyone who questions his sainthood?

"Unreasonable" ? I don't think it makes any difference what I think anyway ...which is fine
