One of us may have had passwords spoofed - or an email account compromised. The account is a legacy TalkTalk one - originally Tinyworld, then Tiscali, then TalkTalk - but still have the tinyworld.co.uk email ids. We had Tinyworld accounts years ago - when they were free - then for a few years we actually also had TalkTalk broadband and paid for accounts, but we abandoned that eventually as unreliable.
The email accounts are still used regularly though. Now it seems that we don't have any control of the passwords any more - as TalkTalk doesn't appear to consider us as "proper" account holders, so we have no way to change the passwords - which even the help files which TT provide suggest is good practice to do quite frequently. This is a bit of a nuisance, and we might now be forced to set up new accounts with other providers if we can't get round this issue.
