I'm raising this because I am increasingly curious as to why so many MORE American voices are appearing on R4 progs.

Count them just for one day, see what total you get in your everyday listening?

Is it in part because it helps BBC sell progs to US, or.........what?

The ones that catch my occasional attention tend to be professors of this or that, like on this morning's Braggfest; and in the main they seem to know more about aspects of our culture and history than I do; so while they're here, rather than making no impact whatever presumably on Trump's philistine America, they're more than welcome ... until OUR increasingly philistine culture orders them home, of course!
