I've received Notifications, but no Messages (which I assume are not the same thing). it's all a bit puzzling ...I DO hope I haven't transgressed in some way.

My Windows 10 has updated itself and installed something called "Copilot" without telling me what it is. I looked it up and, lo and behold, it's an AI program. Unless it's going to do my laundry, I'm not interested.

My latest of many possible gripes is this. Somebody links a mobile phone message to facebook, who then present it along with a whole lot of similar messages one is allowed no time to take in, and no idea to which one of them one is replying. If this is their future I've given up on it.

My partner and I both have Boots Advantage cards, and are registered with our local branch for repeat prescriptions, flu jabs, etc.
We both use Specsavers for contact lenses/glasses, though.

Yesterday, we both got a mail-shot from the relocated city centre branch of Boots optician, correctly addressed, but each with a forename that neither of us has.
Doesn't bode well for any computerisation of medical records and the like.
I shall pop in when next in town to see if they have any idea how their database decided that I was James and he was Bailey!

Yesterday, we both got a mail-shot from the relocated city centre branch of Boots optician, correctly addressed, but each with a forename that neither of us has.

This week I received an email from an hotel (who have my email address) noting that I (named first) and three other named people (all female on the basis of their forename) had cancelled a booking for the end of this week. I do not know who any of the other people are and certainly never made a booking in the first place!

I have forwarded the message back to reception asking them to look into how this happened. The "front of house" team leader has responded agreed to do so and will undertake any necessary staff training.
