No thanks for that Serial_Apologist. I take offence.

How is Padraig supposed to know? I'm making a general point, you understand.

Thunberg seems to be the new hate figure for the right.
My mother's fascist BFF hates her, claims she's 'milking It' and doesn't believe her because 'she's just a kid: and a foreign kid at that!'
Aaron Banks posted a sick tweet about her, expressing the 'light-hearted' hope that she'd meet with an accident on her long voyage to America. Julia Hartley-Brewer and Donald Trump have both mocked her on twitter.
Thunberg's youth will not be excused when the right get their claws out.
I wonder how long she'll be allowed to live till?

I'm surprised that the above, #127, still trumpets its message. It would be a shame for it to stand as the last comment on the thread, so I shall make this my protest.
Well done Bristol. The turn out for Greta was impressive. Enthusiastic crowds of people, young, very young, and less young should surely support Greta's insistent demand for more action by governments. Long may she keep it up, but may she be free from vicious threats and smears which seem to be the favoured weapons of opponents of everything and everyone these days.
f f, were you there?

The discussion on Greta on that programme starts at about 35 minutes, BTW.Last edited by Serial_Apologist; 28-02-20, 17:10.

Like greenilex I'll be getting the book. I read the article in the Observer last Sunday, and thanks Dave for the reminder.
