It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Just been (half) listening to "Feedback Radio 4" - where this was discussed, plus the cuts to come. The point was put that the BBC is discriminating against older listeners - no initiatives on R1 to attract older listeners, all initiatives on R4 to attract the young, the older listener neglected.
Some BBC senior management guy (I'll have to listen again) casually batting the criticism away as they so often do - "Without change we'd still be listening to "Listen with mother....".
"The focus on the natural world follows the warmly-received Forests season in 2018 and is part of Radio 3’s vision to provide a mindful experience – a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life through extraordinary music and culture."
Further changes to jazz and world? Would that be cutting them?

'An extended Late Junction on Friday' and 'Further changes to'....the people who produce this sort of phrase are presumably arrogant enough to think that we lack the mental capacity to work out what they're trying NOT to tell us.

What else would one expect from the Big Brother Corporation?

In fairness, I don't think they're trying not to tell *US* anything. It's the Official Plan to fool the Powers that Be (aka the Gvǝrnmǝnt).

Like power companies heading their mail shots with 'we are making CHANGES to your payments' i.e. guess what? Yeah..........INCREASING THEM.
It's like when the BBC is accused of dumbing down and they respond by saying, 'THAT isn't dumbing down: it's … something else.'
And as often as not it WON'T be dumbing down but something else. But it doesn't make it any better
