Yes, I'm afraid I agree. Jess Gillam is a very fine saxophonist, cheerful lass etc, but this prog she's been painted into is death by a thousand cuts IMO. Cuts to damage her credibility.
A bit painful to listen to as well, and altho' I am desperate to advance the careers of young pros, not like this...erm?

This Classical Life.....Surely there's little justification for broadcasting repeats of the thing ? Other than cheapness ?

Indeed. But it is the lack of flexibility in the schedules. I am sure the three critics in Record Review would not have demanded an extra fee to stay on another half an hour and make one more selection each. And there was unlikely to be an outcry about the absence of a This Classical Life repeat.
