The ephemeral 'alt-rock' singer/songwriter Ryan Adams is in deep water for allegedly demanding sexual favours in return for 'mentoring services' he offered to young aspiring female musicians.

So-called alternative musicians pride themselves on being more enlightened than their rock counterparts, but in my years of writing about them, I have found no end of ‘beta male misogyny’
