    Got your IDP yet?

    = International Driving Permit.

As some of my work+holidaying is in Europe, I thought I'd better get one in case of....the subject we're not supposed to discuss.
It appears a single IDP will cover the whole of Europe...except SPAIN. Why? Anyway I had to buy two. They only cost £5.50 each plus a passport photo each, but the poor woman behind the Post Office counter had kittens trying to do all the filling in and stamping. Meanwhile a restless queue formed behind me.

The whole exercise seems TOTALLY POINTLESS. To get an IDP you must have a valid driving licence. So if you turn up with an IDP it must mean you've got...

Being in Europe makes a lot of sense.

Driving in the UK is bad enough.........
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.
