I take it your personal motto is not "Brevity is the soul of wit"?

That's neither true nor untrue. Every piece should hopefully be the length that it needs to be and some of mine are just a few minutes long. So, for the record, I do not have any such "personal motto".

I think it would be interesting to consider.
Yes, the Index/List has appeared to-day. Although there are sure to be some additions, I intend now to concentrate on producing a similar - but very much larger - collection of obscure string quartets. Thanks for your interest.

But as far as I can see it seems only to go so far up the alphabetical list of composers; is another instalment pending?

I assumed it was the link in the OP but many of the recommendations in this thread aren't there,so maybe not

Indeed, but there are many more to be added!

Well the names are all there.
                          INDEX itself: A to G
                          reply 1: H to R
                          reply 2: S to Z

In the mean time I have found one more item: Henze (very modernistic).

The reason for non-appearance of many admirable suggestions is just that they do not feature on YouTube and so cannot be sampled.

They are there now, yes; they didn't seem to appear when I wrote as I did.

I hadn't appreciated presence on YouTube to be a deciding factor in your listings.
