I just had a delivery of ink cartridges for an Epson printer - Claria Multipack 29 - the strawberry ones.

Never noticed before, but on the pack there is an indication that the black will do (what) down to -170F, and the coloured ones down to -180F. I hope those are not the recommended storage temperatures - even colder than the current weather outside!

Now how am I going to test that?

Something for Trading Standards perhaps.

There was - perhaps still is - a hifi fashion for cryogenically-treated cables, in the endless undaunted search for better sound. How this concept was arrived at remains unclear but I think the ones attaching my supertweeters are just such designs. They sound absolutely wonderful! (Though, as they came along-with, I've never subjected them to A/B/A testing of course...).

Russ Andrews and others like to place their new CDs in the freezer for some hours or even days before playback (and other procedures-of-enhancement).... but I never had the patience for that one....

But... "more things in Heaven and Earth.....", right?
....I wonder if those dull old Barbican LSO Lives might benefit.... (starts getting excited, approaches freezer with Nielsen 4/5 Davis disc....feeling like HAL9000...)

Given the way digital information is stored and recovered from optical discs, that reads so very much as pseudo-Enhydris chinensis oil

Cellar temperature not deep frozen recommended! Otherwise your cryogenics will lead to tears, shattered glass and probably shattered dreams!
