In my usual cack-handed way I can't get the link to work, but Sue Thompson's 'James James Hold The Ladder Steady' is wonderfully dire!

As some may know I think Paul Simon is masterful but 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover is IMVVHO dire ...

Haha! My brother is James, L, and me and my Sister used to drive him totally crazy singing that song at him! Oh the guilt!

The 80s/90s brought a rich stock of them....

Nick Berry, Anita Dobson or anything from Eastenders...
....Agadoo, Mr Blobby, Orville, Grandma, Hoddle & Waddle, Samantha Fox singing... well, a title I won't transcribe. When I first heard of it I thought - no, truly hoped - it must be some kind of self-parody, but oh god it really wasn't. Janice Long didn't hide her contempt on the R1 evening show.......(oh alright, if you insist...it truly is one of those so-bad-its-almost-good moments, perfect all-around parody of 80s pop music/video without even knowing it, let alone trying...

.But...if I had to choose my all-time, most annoying No.1....
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

make it stop, keep it off! etc....

Thank you - I think - for your contribution. I dread to think that there might be something even worse out there!
A lot of Christmas No. 1s were pretty dire - Can We Fix it, Mistletoe and Wine, Mr Blobby and Save Your Love.

Re Christmas hits. Ok, I'm going to stick my neck out here and say, and this is purely personal, that bloody Pogues and Kirsty McColl 'Fairy tale of New York'. I have been known to leave establishments that play this.

Are you allowed to say ''shit"?

I said 'pissed meself" yesterday and it got deleted. Maybe in a fit of consistency, your post will get deleted.

The backing band is nice and funky, though, and the fact that it's partly in Lydian mode gives it a nice... period feel.
