    Marin Alsop on Woman's Hour

Good that WH should do a clasical-music-related interview. But at the end (approx 8min 30sec from start) Marin said if she had to choose a final piece to conduct, it would be Brahms' German Requiem. Then proceeded a short extract from RVW's Tallis Fantasia, followed by the presenter saying 'a nice bit of Brahms there'.

Don't find that at all surprising, vast numbers of our fellow citizens wouldn't know hay from a bull's foot when it comes to classical music.

So did the twittersphere notice? Or is it only on R3 that anyone(listeners) would care?
