Even the Xmas songs I could once tolerate, such as the Waitresses, I have heard too many times.
Loved the both Pogues and Kirsty, but FoNY does my head in .

I like this as much as any of their records though. which isn't a great deal.

Oh yes, Land of make Believe. sort of Xmas record. Rather like the drums.

Me too, if you're talking about the stuff Tesco and Sainsbury's switch on every December, after 11 months of blissful silence.

I was at school with one of The Pogues.

            .

... much 'Christmas' music is pretty repulsive.

I do like this one, though -

I think it's a pity that we don't hear this more often; recorded by Dietrich in her later years.

Does that apply to Advent music also?

I think the BBC generally seem to work on the first Monday in December, though R Cornwall did play Robbie Williams big band version of the Slade song - actually it sounds quite good!

Grandma got run over by a reindeer. A classic if ever there was one.

Elmo & Patsy's official music video for 'Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer'. Click to listen to Elmo & Patsy on Spotify: http://smarturl.it/EPSpot?IQid=EPGR...

One of my favourites is Leroy Anderson’s medley A Christmas Festival, also Canadian Brass did a wonderful version of the 12 Days of Christmas, featuring various composers and well know. Works.
