Yes, there are four Lancastrians, born respectively in Haslingden, Werneth, Oswaldtwistle and Oppull.
There are also 4 operas premiered at the New York Met, namely...?
    Honours are not a connection.

All premiered at the New York Metropolitan Opera. (The 'New York Times' referred to the 'world operatic premiere' of 'Merry Mount').

Tippett, Sullivan, RVW and Tiomkin all wrote film music!
This leaves four opera houses which must have some link.

I'm not sure about Sullivan, unless you count films of Savoy operas....in any event, I was thinking of something more biographical.
There is indeed a link between the remaining 4 opera houses.

You're looking for 4 more (connected) premieres.
Dimitri Tiomkin could be described as possibly the unexpected member of the remaining set of 4.

All four have had premieres of operas by Benjamin Britten

Peter Grimes premiered at Sadler's Wells
The Rape of Lucretia premiered at Glyndebourne
Billy Budd premiered at the Royal Opera House London
The Turn of the Screw premiered at Teatro La Fenice.
That just leaves Messrs Tiomkin, Tippett, Vaughan Williams and Sullivan.

But I don't recall any Tempest-related music by Tiomkin - unless he scored a movie loosely based on the The Tempest story?
                      Is it not?

Noon - Vaughan Williams:Silent Noon, Tiomkin:High Noon, however the link between the four composers could be links to the Royal College of Music. Sullivan was the first Principal there, RVW and Tippett studied there and Tiomkin recorded an album of his film music there with the RCM Orchestra conducted by Sir David Willcocks.

(If that is not what you were lookng for, at least you can add it to your factoids!)

                          A final (sic) clue: 1979 (on November 11th. as it happens), 1998, 1958, 1900.

They all died in London, but then a lot of people do, that’s why I avoid it as much as possible!

The opera question is not my strong subject - I can only suggest that something was performed at all four, someone was the MD of all four, or someone performed at all four.
