There are also words that interlink - A (Bax), It (Britten), An/And (Handel), Is (Liszt) - but here I'm probably barking.

      And up the wrong tree.

I've been to mbalax and back. I've seen how Britten and Bax both end in ten. And now I'm frankly numb-skulled.

Tony Britton, Irene Handl…...la la la, tra la la la......

It often is "as simple as that" on the programme, so why not?

        C'mon, Boilk - we're on tenterhooks here!

            Yaaaaay!

We are in a difficult position now, ferney. You got it although I got the bit that was, quote, harder. You weren't keen to do one. I think we would be very, very keen for you to do one. But I also have one going of which one line has been solved. It's my usual pathetic thing. Just words. Not in a nice grid. And if I may be so bold, it's here with the solved parts bolded.

            Magnard - Radigue - Koechlin - Godefroid

            Alberga - Holmes - Rozsa - Varese

            Grainger - Foerster - Panufnik - Durey

            Sturton - Tabakova - Respighi - Bruns

Boilk hasn't said what matches the four in bold but I haven't pressed it as I know that Boilk knows.

Well it was somewhat harder before I revealed a non-musical connection, at which point one may reverse out of a self-imposed cul-de-sac.

                Oh yes-um.

                I concede.

To make it into another score draw, would you like to confirm for the viewers the connection for the four in my grid you identified?

The great news for all the folks that be is it leaves them with a fair few names they have actually heard of....it's now easy pleasy!

Yes correct - and thank you for gridding it.

The first four all have three letters in their names that are a natural follow-on in the alphabet - def, ghi, rst, stu.

That, I feel, excuses the obscurity of some of them.....they could have been got without musical knowledge.

Following the discussion on Hear and Now:

It's just a damn shame that classical composers focus so much on birds and don't so often incorporate lions.

My second person of the week named Elton:

Elton John's new album The Lockdown Sessions: https://EltonJohn.lnk.to/TheLockdownSessionsID“Can You Feel The Love Tonight” is taken from Walt Disney’s The L...

(I'm odd on EJ - half of his stuff is excellent; the other half isn't - I thought he did everything that was needed on this and more; obviously we want him here for a very long time)

Because I am a soft old stick and I like trying to solve clues rather than setting them, I will in effect give it all away with two further poptastic pieces:

                      1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4p1k6YIc1U

                      2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAdal53PKmk

However, given these leads, I am going to be very tough on the specifics.

I'm making good progress with Lat-Literal's wall. My extensive research has revealed that 6 of the 16 had treatment in or near Zurich for impacted wisdom teeth ...my next step is to discover which 2 are the 'red herrings'.
UPDATE: It appears that 7 of the 16 were lactose-intolerant. Back to square zero!

                          - and I must say how impressed I am with the professionalism of your presentation of the Wall in #17, and its solution in #54

Thank you kindly ferney. Using Microsoft PowerPoint in my daily work made it easy to put together a grid of bevelled boxes!

Less easy is coming up with connecting walls which will not repeat the same kind of connections. I've got a Composers No.2 in the works, but might struggle with a No.3. May have to broaden out to general musicological terms.

Well done for trying - but none of the connections are obscure.
