His corruption of politicians and our body politic? We crow about the value of a free press and after Murdoch's malign influence & practice, this has to be re-defined. And why has he done this? Two points:

1) A few days ago News Corp hired the PR specialists Edelman, since when there has been a wholesale change in Murdoch's approach to the crisis. Coincidence?

2) Posts which include personal insults or attacks on other contributors should have no place in this forum.

I agree with Mr Pee - in a way . Except that I take Mandryka's stated desire to eliminate the entire family (including those not in any way involved, though excluding his 102-year-old mother) as hyperbolic. I am against the death penalty and make no exception for R & J Murdoch, though I accept that Mandryka may have a little list with a number of names on it ....

Sorry that you're disgusted, but I don't think you've read my post properly: it's not because I disagree with Murdoch's views that I am advocating his elimination - it's because he is bent on acquiring political power and establishing a ruling dynasty that will subvert democracy. I should hate to live in a world that resembled that of Dennis Potter's Cold Lazarus, which is what Murdoch would seem to be aiming for.

And I DO advocate the death penalty for all the offenders you list.

Well, since I've moved to these new boards I have tried to avoid "offensive" postings, by which I take it you mean postings that diverge from your narrow political view. But in the light of the hatred and idiocy that's been displayed on this thread I am wondering why I bothered.

And for your information, not that it will make any difference, the HD F1 feed is provided by the BBC, not Sky.

I've been called some things in my time, but 'left wing' is a new one.....

And I wasn't personally comparing Murdoch to Hitler, merely the parallels between the situation that existed in 1933 and the one that exists now.

I could make a case, though, for Murdoch being worse than Hitler, who tended to operate in the open and had relatively modest ambitions (he was only looking to take over a mere continent) and so was easier to defeat. Murdoch operates covertly but is aiming considerably higher, I'd say.
