Imperial Leather is a mixed bag.

As someone who can generally only have Simple Soap, standard IL is the one bar I can use sparingly if I want a bit of proper soap.

The white IL on the other hand tears my skin to shreds.

I've stuck to Pears for the last 40+ years, Lat - simple ingredients, "natural oils" (?), 200 years old, etc. etc. but was clearly too busy to notice this in 2009.... Dropped the peanut oil, increased the glycerin, dropped the word "Transparent" from the box - but still favourite here.

Some of the white that is used in these things is the equivalent to sunset yellow in cheap versions of medication.
